Touch of Surtr is a brand that started off with the bare essentials and little to no experience. By mixing a love for Norse mythology and Pyrography, Touch of Surtr was created.
A brand whose origins began as Norse/Pagan inspired Pyrography pieces, depicting mostly Elder Futhark Runes, slowly transformed and branched into more and more different and unique crafts.
One day I came across a beautiful Silver plated spoon, which had the most amazing floral pattern. I had a strange urge to make it into a ring. Instantly upon tussling with the spoon and using random tools I could scrounge together, I had found a love for making upcycled, sustainable jewellery that relies on recycling sometimes unwanted cutlery, into something amazing.
Further on into my journey I have now upgraded all of my tools, techniques and ambitions, working hard to make more and more unique and quirky items using a variety of different materials to cater to different individuals price points. Stainless steel which is much more friendly affordable, to silver plated, and finally 800 and 925 sterling silver.
Every piece is made with passion and love, and is destined to rise from the scrapheap and be worn proudly and shown off by its future owner.
