I design and create a wide range of SEN and neurodiversity resources myself as a Speech and Language Therapist, including puzzles, vocabulary-building activities, picture-based communication tools, visual supports, games, engaging sensory resources, self-help tools and parent guides. My creator-led approach ensures that the majority of the resources I offer or curate are developed from my own clinical expertise and creative practice, with a focus on accessibility, simplicity and meaningful impact for children and families.
The demand for early communication and SEN support continues to rise nationally, with more children (and young adults) presenting with speech, language and communication needs than ever before. Families are increasingly seeking accessible, low-intensity tools they can use confidently at home, and my mission involves creating resources that make communication support feel simple, achievable and genuinely accessible for families.
Makers Markets are frequently visited by parents and families, making them an ideal setting to meet people where they already are. It creates a natural opportunity to offer thoughtfully curated, affordable resources that support children across multiple contexts, including at home, in school and in everyday routines, without the barriers or formality of traditional services.
At my stall, I will be sharing these creator-led resources alongside sensory tools and early communication activities. I also provide general demos and advice on how to use the resources efficiently and effectively, helping families feel empowered to support communication in everyday routines.
