Guitar strings are usually thrown away when they are replaced but they are not bio-degradable so they remain in landfill forever.
Originally an idea for an addition to my husband’s guitar accessories business, I thought it would be interesting to utilise these guitar strings by re-purposing them into affordable jewellery.
Mainly sourced from a local guitar technician, I wire-wrap the strings to make beautiful pieces with semi-precious stones, beads and charms.
In addition I often make bespoke pieces with customers’ own guitar strings, which makes a thoughtful gift.
