Founded in 2025, Soul Of Duke Coffee was born from a simple idea: follow a dream and do one thing—exceptional coffee—and do it brilliantly.
From that vision came Tatty Van, crafted with care (and plenty of elbow grease) by me, Luke. Over five months, I transformed my well-worn 2006 VW Transporter—complete with all its bumps, scrapes, and stories—into an off-grid, sustainable coffee van. Powered by solar and a single gas bottle, Tatty Van runs quietly and cleanly, with no need for a generator.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We operate with zero single-use plastics, and everything we serve can either be composted or recycled. We source only high-quality products from businesses with strong ethical values, supporting local suppliers whenever possible.
Our menu is intentionally simple and focused:
Espresso, Long Black, Flat White, Cappuccino, Latte, Hot Chocolate, Mocha, and Tea—with decaf, vegan, and gluten-free options available.
As for the branding? It’s honest. I couldn’t afford a respray—and honestly, couldn’t be bothered with one—so the van wears its history proudly. The dents, scratches, and quirks tell its story. That’s how Tatty Van got its name, and why it has so much character.
Soul Of Duke Coffee isn’t just about coffee—it’s about craft, care, and celebrating the journey.
