I am based in Lancashire and have been a lecturer in fashion and textiles for many years. Five years ago I decided to start a small home business creating bespoke occasional wear for individual clients, occasional wear alterations and also creating my own bags and accessory designs. In 2025 I started to sell my handmade accessory designs through the makers markets, which has been a great experience working alongside other makers and meeting lovely customers face to face.
Each piece is created with sustainability in mind. After years of seeing the waste produced from textile companies, I try to use sustainable resources to produce my products by using upcycled materials where possible; that would be destined for landfill. The materials are sourced from a variety of places, such as – end of fabric rolls and fabric swatch books disused by textile companies or vintage fabrics and vintage buttons. This supports me to create products that are individually designed and very special. This is ideal if you’re looking for a unique gift or just to treat yourself.
