I’m a ceramicist based in Manchester, currently focusing on developing my throwing and sculpting practice. Alongside that, I like to keep multiple creative projects on the go—it helps me avoid getting stuck staring at the same piece for too long and losing too much focus.
One of these projects is something more personal. I’ve started creating small figurines that I call my “little boys.” They come from my own experiences and act almost like a physical diary. I’ve never really been much of a writer, I’m definitely more of a visual thinker (and a bit forgetful, if I’m honest) so this feels like a more natural way for me to record things.
Each piece becomes a kind of memory holder, something I can look back on later and laugh about, whether the moment it captures was good or bad.
