I was raised in the countryside which I feel extremely fortunate for. However, having moved into the city I find contradictions and beauty, feeling and memory in the architecture of Manchester and other city scapes. Stories of life and having lived. And though many pass through the streets without acknowledging each building I tend to find a hold by them. Even a place as small as a takeaway or pound shop, each place is rich in experience. This is what I try to achieve in my work.
