Hi, I am Marie Warren the creator at Mazzasmonkeys.
I reassessed my life and in 2018 deciding it was time to turn my hobby into a small business so “Mazzasmonkeys” was born making unique shelf sitting sockys.
I create my ‘sockys’ in my garden studio (shed) using new socks and recycled hollow fill, embellishing with buttons, beads, felt, recycled bits and bobs also using aquarium gravel to give some a little weight.
I find inspiration for my work within nature and my own imagination making creatures, such as sloths, mice, elephants and many more as well as the making Dudes and Dudesses from the amazing number of different socks out there.
I have no artistic qualifications and am self-taught, always ready to learn new skills.
I get great pleasure from chatting to people and watching them choose which socky makes them smile.
