At Luesday, sustainability is at the heart of what I do. By creating bespoke pieces of jewellery from materials destined for landfill, I give the beautiful pieces a chance to be admired for generations to come. Vintage plates are unlike our modern crockery: they’re colourful, patterned, detailed, and so unique. They were used for decoration or only used for major celebrations, but have since become something forgotten.
By using specialised tools and months of perfecting my process, I ensure to use all pieces of the plates (and other crockery!) to make an array of jewellery pieces, and accessories. All smaller leftover pieces are used for mosaic jewellery and art.
