The name comes from something meaningful & close to my heart! Sadly, in 2019, I lost my Mum to Motor Neurones Disease, something I wouldn’t wish upon anybody. When she passed, I was in full time work but needed something to fill my spare time with which is where this business came in. It began with sweet boxes & cones then when we hit the lockdowns in 2020, I began the baking side of things and soon found the passion, taking the risk & making it my full time job from 2021. So now for the name, the L contributes for myself & Mum, both with names beginning with L, my Mums birthday was the day after mine making us both a Taurus birth sign and of course, the business is all things sweet giving me the name L’taurusweet!
Over the years, my business has grown month by month which is amazing! Don’t get me wrong, running a business has its perks and also its stresses as you can imagine but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Back in 2022, I was in a young trader’s competition where I competed in the initial judging’s, regionals & also went onto national finals where I walked away with 2x highly commended awards & 1x category winner award which was huge for me!
A lot has happened for L’taurusweet over the past 5 years & I’m excited to see what happens over the next 5 with hopes to build my business online & hoping to eventually open my very own café/coffee shop.
