Fire & Pour is a female founded artisan craft candle brand that focuses on luxury sustainability. We are based in converted cow barns on a farm in Derbyshire. When we set the brand up we wanted to stand above the home fragrance industry as it is such a crowded market. A number of candle brands in the UK had started their sustainable journey by using ceramic jars that they had purchased.
I wanted to go that one step further and had an idea to make my own candle jars in stoneware clay and use artisan building and glazing techniques to give them a unique feel. I have always been interested in various crafts and I felt I could learn to make the pots. I took a leap of faith, found and bought an used kiln on Ebay that had been used in a school.
I have been a candle maker for about 6 years doing private label work but when it came to making my own candle brand, it didn’t feel right until I started Fire & Pour.
Fire and Pour is more than a home fragrance company. It is also a craft ceramic and lifestyle business too.
