I am a ceramicist that makes a mix of practical homeware, and more whimsical items. I love to make work which will find a use in someone home, as a keen cook I enjoy making kitchenware such as oil bottles, salt and pepper pots, and bowls. I also enjoy making items that are inspired by the whimsy of life, such as tiny creatures which can add character to any plant pot or desk, as well as tabletop games such as dominos or tic-tac-toe.
I like to ensure I have a mix of colours in my work, often combining clays to create an organic swirl in the piece. I ensure any additions to my pieces are from natural materials, such as using cork stoppers for bottles, or natural fibre fabric bags for games.
