Bookadelia is an award-finalist creative business based in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, specialising in handcrafted creations made from pre-loved books.
Founded during a journey of mental health recovery, Bookadelia began with a simple folded book and a desire to create something positive from books that might otherwise have been discarded. Today, that passion has grown into a collection of unique handmade gifts, home décor and artistic pieces that celebrate the magic of books while promoting sustainability.
Every creation is individually handcrafted and designed to give unwanted books a new story. Our collections include folded book art, personalised Bookettes, framed book sculptures, Chapters of Light lamps, floral book creations and seasonal collections, all made using reclaimed and donated books wherever possible.
At the heart of Bookadelia is a commitment to community wellbeing. Through workshops, storytelling sessions, care home visits and appearances by Bookz Bunny, we encourage creativity, connection and the joy of reading across all generations.
