Baubles Dahling is a solo handmade home décor and gift business, started in Manchester in December 2025. Everything sold under the Baubles Dahling name is made entirely by one pair of hands — shaped, painted, stamped and finished without machines, without shortcuts and without compromise.
Our range is deliberately broad, and deliberately different from what you typically find at a makers market. Baubles Dahling sits in a category of its own within the handmade market landscape, filling a gap that is genuinely underserved: colourful, personality-led, handmade gifts that people cannot find anywhere else.
Some of the pieces that set Baubles Dahling apart:
Moustache Magnets — hand-sculpted clay moustaches in a rainbow of colours and finishes, from gold and silver to bright orange, red and purple. Each one a tiny, ridiculous, completely handmade object of joy. There is nothing else like them on a market stall.
Alphabet Magnets— a full A-to-Z set of hand-painted clay letter magnets, every single letter a different colour and pattern. Buyers can purchase individual letters, spell out a name, or collect the whole rainbow. Made to order, completely personalised, and unlike anything currently available on the handmade market.
Worry Stones — hand-sculpted clay worry stones in a growing range of shapes (heart, oval, round, animal silhouettes) and colours, available plain, stamped with an affirmation word (CALM, BREATHE, LOVED, BRAVE) or personalised with a name. These have proven to be one of the fastest-selling products at market — at a recent Stretford Makers Market, five worry stones sold in a single day, with multiple customers purchasing two at a time as gifts.
Ceramic Animal Figurines — a hand-sculpted menagerie of characters including Felix the fox, cats, owls, frogs, rabbits, penguins, French Bulldogs and more. Each one individually made and painted. These are the pieces that make people stop, pick them up, and immediately think of someone they want to buy one for.
Beyond the individual products, Baubles Dahling brings something to a market that is hard to quantify but easy to feel: warmth, colour and genuine personality. The stall is bright, joyful and maximalist — it stands out visually — and the story behind it is real. I started Baubles Dahling after a period of burnout and personal loss, as a way of rebuilding through making. Every piece carries that intention.
Since launching in December 2025, Baubles Dahling has completed four markets, maintained a five-star rating on Etsy, and built a growing community of followers across Instagram and TikTok who regularly travel to markets specifically to find the stall in person.
The business is growing quickly and the ambition is to trade regularly at the best Manchester makers markets. Stretford has been a brilliant home so far — the community is warm, the footfall is strong and the customers are exactly the kind of people who appreciate something genuinely handmade.
