We are a husband and wife team creating functional pottery, ceramic sculpture and hand painted art. Jacquie is originally from Edinburgh, Dylan the north west of England, both now based in Poulton le Fylde.
Dylan is the potter, throwing pottery on the wheel. He designs his own glazes so everything is unique to him. At the markets its mostly functional, usable stoneware tableware but in galleries the sky is the limit. Jacquie enjoys sculpting quirky human bodies with dogs heads, each one a character such as a painter, lawyer, priest,etc. Each piece taking 3-5 weeks to complete. They both enjoy painting. Jacquie loves painting dogs where Dylan anything is on the table. Deep artistic routes flow through both. Artists Poulton has not yet ventured online preferring to meet and talk to customers person to person. The makers market has been fantastic for that. Dylan does a little teaching as well as producing for restaurants etc.

As a technical illustrator Dylan has lived and worked in London, Edinburgh, Dundee, Copenhagen. Working for such as Rolls Royce (Car division), TVAC, Hunterstone, Sizewell B and Dounreay Power stations, Scottish & Newcastle breweries, Hawk fighter (cockpit), Barr & Stroud (Tank/Periscope division) NCR Dundee (ATM) using Apollo intercap, Capital Printers London, ERF truck parts manuals. Briefly Dylan finished at Rolls Royce after his father got prostate cancer and the family business, Northern Kilns needed help. There he spent the next 20+ years building up Northern Kilns. As such he is a fully qualified electrician with other related gas, mechanical and building skills. The falling down building was rebuilt to incorporate a cafe. Father still potting (Pilling Pottery) could not cope with demand so Dylan jumped ship from kilns to pottery. He found he had a natural talent for it, enjoying mostly the alchemy of glaze. Because of delivering kilns and servicing kilns nationwide with London being the biggest customer Dylan dropped in to a possible 10 studios a week. Incredible knowledge was absorbed.
