I make gorgeous hand made Junk Journals and Mind Junk Books (notebooks) made from wonderfully vintage book pages, maps, old ledgers, dictionary pages, account books, old annuals, French letters and much more. I also make emperors and journal packs to go with the Mind Junk Books to turn them into Junk Journals. Junk journals have lots of pockets and tuck spots to keep your precious memories from gigs or special dinners, plus they have handmade little notepads to write down your memories Mind Junk Books came about when my eldest son was poorly, I would go and stay with him in Glasgow and bring my crafting things (I would be there for a few days at a time every week) anyway one day I was showing him one of my makes and he called it a Mind Junk Book, a place to write down all the junk in your mind to make some space for important things or write your memories and secrets. My son passed away in December, he had brain cancer, and so I use mine to write down things I want to say to him, good or bad, when life gets to hard to bear, it can be helpful to just write to him and I thought this would also help a lot of people out there who are going through this grief journey.
