I operate a small business- am a one man band! A long standing member of the RSPB. I fabricate my bird nesting boxes using untreated kiln dried spruce – FSC certified timber. The paint I use is weather proof with a 5+ year guarantee and water based (RSPB recommended) 20mm timber too for additional sturdiness and insulation against the elements. The hand painted decoration is all my own work and the vibrancy of some models does not deter our feathered friends. All my boxes come complete with metal bracket fixings and the roof is a separate component – removable for cleaning out.
