Meet Our Makers

Our Makers Markets wouldn’t be possible without the incredible independent artisans, creators, and small businesses who bring them to life. From bakers and brewers to crafters, designers, and performers, every market is filled with passionate people sharing their talents and handmade goods with the community.

Kusunoki Kobo 楠 手作工房 くすのき てづくり こうぼう

Kusunoki Kobo 楠 手作工房 くすのき てづくり こうぼう create a range of traditional Asian delicacy: Kohakutou: Kohakutou is a traditional Japanese sweet derived from Kingyokukan. Crafted from agar-agar, sugar, and other carefully selected ingredients, it is slowly air-dried to create a distinctive texture: crisp on the outside and soft within. With its sparkling, jewel-like appearance and vibrant colours, Kohakutou is often celebrated as “The Jewel You Can Eat”. Following Japanese tradition, it is best enjoyed with green tea to balance the sweetness, though it also pairs beautifully with modern favorites like black tea or coffee. For a stunning visual treat, drop pieces into sparkling water or champagne to watch them glisten like submerged gems while gently sweetening your drink. Authentic Japanese Recipe - Hand Crafted in the UK Crystallized Citrus Peel: Handmade from fresh citrus fruits, our Crystallized Citrus Peel offers a delightful balance of natural citrus flavour and gentle sweetness. Perfect for soothing a dry throat and refreshing your palate, it’s a delicious treat to help quench your thirst while providing the natural goodness of citrus, which is rich in antioxidants. Enjoy a little taste of sunshine in every bite! Crystallized Ginger: Handmade from fresh ginger, our Crystallized Ginger offers a delightful balance of natural warmth and gentle sweetness. Traditionally enjoyed for its comforting qualities, ginger is often savoured to soothe the throat and support digestion. A delicious treat with a warming kick, perfect for enjoying anytime you need a little comfort and a touch of natural goodness! Steam Rice Pudding: Soft, chewy, and lightly sweet, this traditional treat has been enjoyed by generations. Matcha Red Bean Shortbread: An elegant blend of traditional Asian flavors. Fragrant green tea shortbread perfectly balances the subtle, natural sweetness of smooth red bean filling. Chocolate Shortbread: A luxurious twist on a classic favorite. Golden, rich butter shortbread encases a smooth, velvety dark chocolate center that gently melts with every bite.
